Instructor: Carl Kerby

In this course we will look at a minimum of 17 supposed evolutionary ancestors to humans. To back up my position that these are NOT ancestors to humans we will use secular sources.  One of the main sources is the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History’s website

Description

In the first course, “What About . . . Fossils?”, we will take a broad look at the fossil record.  This time we’re going to drill down on one aspect of the fossil record, and that the supposed human ancestors.  Maybe you’re heard statements like:

  • “Lucy” is a ‘missing link’ between apes and humans!
  • The fossils prove that humans evolved from an apelike creature!

In this course we will look at a minimum of 17 supposed evolutionary ancestors to humans. To back up my position that these are NOT ancestors to humans we will use secular sources.  One of the main sources is the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History’s website. By teaching “How” to think on these materials and not just “What” to think we will be preparing the student to be able to give an answer for the hope that lies within them from a Biblical perspective. Come ready dig (pun intended), and to critically think about the evidence that we see in the world around us. Let’s use it to bring glory to God!

Course Purpose and Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this course, students will be able converse with others about:

    • Ardipithecus ramidus
