Sharon Almquist, M.A. & M.L.S.
Sharon Almquist holds a B.A. in Music (Piano), M.A. in Music History, and an M.L.S. (Master of Library Science) from the University at Buffalo, NY. Sharon has been involved in higher education for more than 20 years. She enjoys interacting with students in the classroom and online as well as the many opportunities for teaching Christ’s word through home school—especially since she struggled through all twelve years of public school! She teaches online courses in library and information science and computer-related topics to undergraduate and graduate students at several different universities in Texas and Kentucky. She taught computer and information literacy to students in grades K-8 as well as other topics at the Providence Extension Program’s Florence KY campus and has published scholarly articles and books. She home schooled her youngest daughter from 5th through 12th grade; her eldest daughter is an officer in the U.S. Air Force.
